897.5
Davies |
The 2004, 897.5 Davies is a cross between the 845.0 Bobier 2000 and the 1260.4 Weir 2001. Both of these seed stocks have produced many world class giant pumpkins with a propensity to weigh over their estimated weights (which means: they have thicker walls). The 845 produced Charlie Houghton's 2002, 1337.6, world record. The 897.5 produced the 2005, 1248.8 Ford which showed the heightened orange-color characteristics of this seed stock. This self pollination was made to capture that great color.
